Worship A-Z Terms of Service

Welcome to Worship A-Z. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Barro Services LLC ("Barro Services," "we," "us," or "our"), the company that designs, builds, and operates the Worship A-Z iOS application, its administrator console, and related websites and services (together, the "Service").

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, tapping "I agree," or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use Worship A-Z

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By using the Service you confirm that you are 18 or older, that you can form a binding contract, and that you are not barred from using the Service under the laws of any applicable jurisdiction. We may add household or youth features in the future; until then, the Service is for adults only.

2. Your account

You sign in with your email address and a one-time code or secure link. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure and for everything that happens through your Worship A-Z account. Tell us right away at legal@worshipaz.com if you believe your account has been used without permission. You may hold one account, and you may not sell, transfer, or share it.

3. Masjid membership and administrators

Worship A-Z organizes members around a home masjid. Membership in a masjid's community is approved by administrators or imams appointed for that masjid. Administrators act for their masjid, not for Barro Services. We do not guarantee that any masjid will approve, keep, or restore your membership, and administrators may set additional community rules consistent with these Terms.

Administrators and imams agree, in addition, to use the administrator console only for their masjid's legitimate community purposes, to keep member information confidential, and to follow our administrator guidelines. Barro Services, as the platform owner, may create, modify, suspend, or remove administrator accounts and masjid access at any time to protect members or the Service.

4. Community conduct

Worship A-Z is a place to know the people you pray beside. You agree not to:

We may remove content, limit features, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or put the community at risk, with or without notice. Members can report and block other members from any profile, report or mute the author of any message, and masjid moderators must act on reports within 24 hours. The Community Guidelines, which are part of these Terms, describe the standard and the process in detail.

5. Gender-separated community spaces

The Service maintains separate brothers' and sisters' community spaces, enforced on our servers. You agree to register in the space that corresponds to your declaration at sign-up and not to misrepresent it. Deliberate misrepresentation is grounds for immediate termination.

6. Presence, location, and sensors

Presence ("who is at the masjid") is opt-in. If you enable it, your device evaluates whether you are near your home masjid and sends a single, temporary check-in event that expires automatically. The Service never stores a history of your locations. The Qibla compass, prayer-time features, and step or motion features use your device's sensors on the device itself. Compass and GPS readings can be affected by magnetic interference, buildings, and device calibration. Use them as an aid, and confirm the Qibla direction and prayer times with your masjid where it matters.

7. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post. So that we can run the Service, you grant Barro Services a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display your content to the members and administrators you make it available to, and to do what is reasonably necessary to deliver, back up, moderate, and secure the Service. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups (removed within 30 days) and content other members have already received. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to post it.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, membership card design, artwork, text, and trademarks, is owned by Barro Services LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Except for the limited right to use the app on your own iPhone under these Terms, no rights are granted to you. "Worship A-Z" and the Worship A-Z logo are trademarks of Barro Services LLC. If you send us suggestions, you agree we may use them without obligation to you.

9. Community membership card

The in-app membership card confirms only that you are an approved member of a masjid community. It is NOT a government identification document and does not verify identity, citizenship, age, residence, or legal status. You agree not to present it as such.

10. Subscriptions, free trials, and Mosque Plans

Some features of Worship A-Z are premium: the Recitation Companion, the Deen Plus bundle, and Khutbah Studio Pro. The Qur'an text, prayer times, the reference library, and the basic community features are free and never require a subscription.

Premium features are sold as auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase. Each subscription begins with a free trial of seven days for new subscribers of that subscription group. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase or at the end of the free trial. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you subscribe and may vary by country. Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.

A Mosque Plan is an annual plan for a masjid that provides Khutbah Studio Pro to that masjid's approved imams and admins for its term. A Mosque Plan can be purchased in the app by an approved imam or admin of the masjid as an auto-renewable yearly subscription through Apple In-App Purchase, on the same renewal, cancellation and refund terms as other subscriptions; the plan belongs to the masjid, not to the person who purchased it, and the purchaser is responsible for arranging the charge with the masjid. A Mosque Plan can also be purchased from Barro Services outside the App Store, in which case it is governed by the invoice or agreement between Barro Services and the masjid. When a Mosque Plan lapses, features it provided return to their free or individually subscribed state.

Premium features that use artificial intelligence are subject to fair-use limits stated in the app. We may change prices or plans for future periods with notice through the App Store; changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.

11. Referral program

Members may share a personal referral code or link. When a person who entered that code, or opened that link, before their first paid subscription later pays for a subscription, Worship A-Z may credit the referring member with a commission at the percentage shown in the app at the time of that payment.

Commissions are calculated on the net amount Worship A-Z actually receives after Apple's commission, never on the price your friend pays. They are held while Apple's refund window runs, and are cancelled if the payment is refunded, revoked or charged back. A member may name only one referrer, may not name themselves, and the choice becomes final at the first paid purchase. Where a program says so, the commission for a Mosque Plan is paid to the referrer's masjid rather than to the referrer.

Approved commissions are paid by Barro Services LLC by bank transfer or similar means, once your approved balance reaches the minimum shown in the app and at least once a year whatever the balance. Payouts may require tax documentation before the first payment — in the United States an IRS Form W-9, and outside it a Form W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E — and are reported to tax authorities where the law requires. You receive commissions as an independent recipient of commission income, not as an employee or agent of Barro Services LLC, and you are responsible for any tax you owe. Nothing in these Terms is legal or tax advice.

Worship A-Z may change the percentages, the products covered, or end the program at any time; commissions already earned and approved remain payable. Referral rewards are never offered in exchange for App Store ratings or reviews, and asking for or offering a reward on that basis forfeits them.

12. Donations and payments

If a masjid enables donations, you can give to it with Apple Pay from inside the app. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. under its own terms and paid to the masjid's own account; Barro Services takes no fee and is not the recipient of, and is not responsible for, donations made to a masjid, tax receipts, zakat eligibility, or refunds, which are the responsibility of the masjid and the payment provider. Donations are not App Store purchases and Apple is not a party to them.

13. Third-party services and Apple

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Apple (for distribution and push notifications) and cloud hosting and database providers. Their services are subject to their own terms.

Because you obtain the app through the Apple App Store, the following also applies: these Terms are between you and Barro Services only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer-protection claims. Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, settling, or discharging any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

14. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and the promises we make, including that we never sell your data and never store a location history. It is part of these Terms.

15. Ending your relationship with us

You can delete your account at any time in the app (My Deen › Account and data). Deletion removes your profile, memberships, check-ins, and authored messages from production systems immediately and from backups within 30 days. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 7, 8, 14 to 17) survive termination.

16. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BARRO SERVICES DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that prayer times, Qibla direction, distances, or other calculated information will be accurate, or that any content posted by members or masjids is accurate. Worship A-Z is a community tool; it is not a religious authority, and nothing in the Service is religious, legal, medical, or financial advice.

17. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BARRO SERVICES LLC, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE, HOWEVER CAUSED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US$100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

18. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Barro Services LLC and its owners, employees, and contractors from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.

19. Disputes, arbitration, and governing law

We would rather solve problems together. Before filing a claim, write to legal@worshipaz.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.

If we cannot, you and Barro Services agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court or seek an injunction to protect intellectual property. YOU AND BARRO SERVICES EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@worshipaz.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name and the email on your account.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where a court has jurisdiction, you and we consent to the state and federal courts located in Virginia.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and show the new effective date at the top. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, delete your account before that date.

21. General

These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and any masjid-specific rules, are the entire agreement between you and Barro Services about the Service. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor of the Service. Notices to you may be given in the app or to the email on your account.
